We have over 370 visitors on the day and we look forward to sharing with you the amount raised for the College by this initiative. However, the most satisfying aspect of the event is the way Garden Viewing successfully brought the College community and the wider Temora community together for a fun, inspiring and relaxing day.
Congratulations to everyone involved and congratulations to the winners of the terrific raffle prizes!
Congratulations Paddy Wallace!
We are pleased and proud to share with you the news that Paddy Wallce has received the Braille Presentation award from the NSW Department of Education for the annual Braille Competition. What is even more impressive is that this is the second year in a row Paddy has received this award.
Mayor Firman will be visiting St Anne’s on Friday and presenting this very special award to Paddy.
Congratulations Paddy and well done to Mrs Sharon Hope, Vision Specialist Teacher.
IT Requirements for 2026 – Secondary
Secondary parents should by now have received a letter outlining the Bring Your Own Device requirements for 2026. We encourage families to purchase devices through the portal as this will ensure correct specifications, very competitive prices and after sale service. Please let us know if there are any questions or clarifications required.
Primary Wellbeing Day
On Monday 27th October the K-6 students came together for a combined Wellbeing and child safety day. Students were entertained with a visiting performance called “Brilliant At Being Resilient”, they then participated in some teacher led team building activities (you may have seen some of our videos on Facebook). Primary students then had a visit from the Police Liason Officer who spoke to them about bullying and being safe online. We cannot understate the need for parents to be aware of what their children are doing online and of the need to set boundaries for small screen usage. Infants students were entertained with the Inside Out Movie, which they watched on the big screen at the cinema.

Infants Classes Out and About
Our Primary students have had a very exciting week. On Tuesday they enjoyed the live performance "Aqua Avengers". The show was very entertaining and educated the students about the water cycle and water conservation. A big thank you to Golden Fields Water for bringing the show to St Anne's

On Wednesday Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 visited the "Hello Yellow" exhibition at the Rural Museum. The exhibition was fantastic. The students learnt lots about growing, harvesting and using canola. They enjoyed a wide variety of hands-on activities including collage, colouring, building, and playdough. They enjoyed looking for bees amongst the canola flowers and looking at all the art and craft on display. Thanks to Lauren Carr and all her helpers from Temora Shire Council who set up and provided this great experience for our students.

Wellbeing 2026
St Anne’s has benefitted greatly from our participation in The Resilience Project over the past two years. Students and staff have been exposed to many strategies to support their wellbeing, and we have very much appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with the Public Schools in the Temora Shire Council on TRP, thanks to the Council’s terrific support.
Our focus on wellbeing will of course continue into the future, and we are pleased to share with you the directions being planned for 2026. With the leadership of Mrs Kirsty Wallace who will be known to many of you as a St Anne’s parent and teacher, we will be implementing the highly regarded Positive Education Enhanced Curriculum from K- 12. PEEC is research-based explicit Positive Education curriculum that has been developmentally sequenced from Early Learning (age four) through to Year 12. The curriculum is built on ten years of experience with Positive Education at Geelong Grammar School. PEEC is a comprehensive and adaptable Positive Education curriculum that supports schools in fostering student wellbeing through structured yet flexible lessons. By incorporating relevant research and practical experience, PEEC empowers educators to create environments where students can flourish both academically and personally.
We look forward to sharing more information on PEEC as the program is implemented across the school.
Create Exhibition
This much anticipated annual event when the community is invited to experience the wonderful creativity that thrives at St Anne’s is scheduled for Wednesday 12th November. Please see further details later in this newsletter.
HSC
Final HSC exams are scheduled next week. The girls have been working tirelessly and with dedication and we wish them a great break ahead.
We look forward to getting together with the graduates and their families for Graduation Mass and dinner on Friday 7th November.
In Conclusion…
There is always something to look forward to at St Anne’s and next week this is the Fashions in the Field Primary and Secondary Parades for the Melbourne Cup. So please dust off those fascinators and get ready to be wowed by the elegance on display during the morning on Tuesday. Students are asked to contribute a gold coin donation for Caritas.
This evening, Year 3 students will experience the sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. Thank you to Mrs Gaynor and Miss Baron for preparing the students, and to Fr Alex for what promises to be a prayerful and memorable First Reconciliation this evening.
Finally, another important date for your calendars, please plan to join St Anne’s and the Temora Community for Christmas Carols at Gloucester Park at 6.30pm on Saturday 12th December.
With best wishes,
Louise Grant
