Year 3 have been very busy in all subjects this term. In English they have been creating poems, and writing Persuasive texts, trying to convince their teacher that children should (or should not) have to play sport. There were some very convincing arguments for and some interesting arguments against!!
In HSIE students are focusing on ANZAC Day as part of the unit, "Celebrations," learning not only what happened during the 8 month campaign, but why we celebrate it as a nation or at our local level.
In Religion, Year 3 have been learning about Jesus and Discipleship, creating some interesting job advertisements for disciples, what the job entails, personal qualities to be a disciple and how the disciples carried on Jesus' work.
Year 3 created some amazing art this term, focusing on portraits and also Picasso styled portraits. Check them out-recognise anyone??
