The Resilience Project (TRP)

A Note from our Student Wellbeing Officer - Lisa Morton

This year we are excited to bring to St Annes Catholic College, The Resilience Project (TRP).

As you would have seen in school correspondence, I have been appointed the Student Wellbeing Officer for St Anne's.  I am looking forward to working with students to support and guide them into achieving their personal and wellbeing goals.

Throughout 2024, we will be rolling out TRP to support the wellbeing of our school community. I will be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays to work with students in the playground to assist with implementing the program.

The Resilience Project delivers emotionally engaging programs and provides evidence-based, practical strategies to build resilience.

Our Partnership Program consists of online presentations and weekly lessons for students, professional development for staff, and Parent & Carer Hub (inc. digital presentations) for our parent and carer community.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing the Parent & Carer Hub with you. The presentations are 5 - 10 minutes long and will walk through the key pillars of resilience: Gratitude, Empathy & Mindfulness. You'll hear stories and be introduced to activities to show how these strategies can support our kids in learning and development, and will also support you as parents and carers.

The program is an important part of our schools effort to look after the mental health of our students and the wider community.

Below you will find:

  • A short video introducing Hugh van Cuylenburg and learn more about the TRP.
  • A document which connect parents/carers to the TRP@home page and provide more tips and useful tools that you can be involved in at home.
  • Information on The Student Resilience Survey which students from years 3 - 12 will be conducting in the coming weeks.
