Sacred Heart Parish Sacraments Parent Meeting for all 2025 candidates & First Eucharist Parent Meeting 

A reminder that next Tuesday 11th February at 6pm a special meeting will be held in St Joseph’s hall to explain the changes to the Sacred Heart Parish Sacramental program for 2025. 

This meeting is for all parents of candidates wishing to make a Sacrament in 2025, either their First Reconciliation (Year 3 and above), First Eucharist (First Communion - Year 4 and above)  or Confirmation (Year 6 and above). Father Alex Osbourne the new parish priest would like to meet all of the parents. This is also an opportunity to learn about the changes to the timing throughout the year; the individuals involved in the Parish Sacramental Team; and the changes with all communication, etc.

Following the general Sacraments meeting parents for First Eucharist are asked to stay for the additional information about First Eucharist. First Eucharist will be celebrated at the end of Week 8 this term, so it made sense to combine the meetings to avoid another night.

What to do if you are unable to attend the meeting

Please note that if you are unable to attend the evening, you are required to make contact with Father Alex directly through the parish office. He will make arrangements to meet with you and provide you with the relevant information that you will have missed.

2025 First Eucharist date - N.B. much earlier than usual

Please note that the Sacrament of First Eucharist (Communion) will be held in Week 8 of Term 1, Sunday 30th March. This sacrament is for students in Year 4 or anybody older who has already made their First Reconciliation in the Catholic church and may have missed the sacrament, or wish to make it in 2025.

Opening School Mass 2025

Students, Staff, Parents and friends came together today to celebrate the Opening School Mass in the Town Hall. The students and staff received a blessing from Fr Alex. with our new student leaders also pledging the Rite of Dedication as they begin their new roles.
