The Resilience Project (TRP)
IN THE CLASSROOM WITH KINDERGARTEN
Kinder have been working on gratitude in the classroom and the playground. In particular looking at friendships and friendships I am grateful for.
Kinder spoke about what makes a good friend and how they can also be a good friend. They went through some different scenarios to help recognise what being a good friend looks like. Being a good friend is not about what people have, look like or are good at, it is all about what they do and how they make others feel. These are called strengths and qualities. Friends can like different things and have different personalities, but still be kind, caring and helpful to each other. It was great to see them get right into the lesson and hear their own shares on the qualities and strengths, that they think makes a good friend.

This week Kinder also had a ‘Take it home activity’ followed on from the lesson, which they can share with family and friends at home.
