Secondary Sport

Riverina Netball Schools Cup Finals

On Monday, 25 August, 32 of our Year 7–10 students travelled to Wagga to compete in the Riverina Netball Schools Cup Finals. Facing strong competition, all four of our teams represented the school with distinction, demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination throughout the day.

A particular highlight was the performance of our Year 7/8 Boys and Girls teams, along with the Year 9/10 Boys team, who secured two wins from their four matches. While this was not quite enough to progress into the finals, it was a commendable achievement against quality opposition.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Claire Hartwig and Isabel Fairman, who generously volunteered their time to umpire on the day. Their contribution was greatly appreciated and ensured the smooth running of the competition.

Congratulations to all students on another successful Schools Cup campaign. We are proud of your efforts and look forward to seeing how our teams perform in 2026.

On Thursday, 21 August, 18 of our secondary students travelled to Canberra to compete in the CECG Athletics Championships, braving cold and windy conditions. The standard of competition was extremely high, yet our students performed admirably, achieving excellent results throughout the day.

We are delighted to announce that several students have qualified to represent our school at the NSWCCC Athletics Championships in Sydney on Monday, 15 September.
