Dear St Anne's Community,

Welcome back! 

It was great to see all the students on Wednesday and I hope that they all had a nice break from school. Term 4 has begun well and the students look settled and ready for the final term of the 2021 school year. This term we welcome two new staff members and welcome back two others. A warm welcome to our new teachers Mr Christopher Wendt (Wood/Metal Teacher) and Mrs Sharon Hope (Vision Specialist Teacher). They both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to St Anne's and I look forward to being able to introduce them to you in person at some stage. It is nice to have Mrs Miller and Mrs Overs back from Maternity leave as well. 

Thank you to all our parents for your support with the COVID restrictions, we appreciate it. 

I would also like to welcome Grace Jowringo and her family to our school. Grace started in Kindergarten this term and she moved along with her family to Temora last week. I thank the lovely kindergarten students for the great hospitality they have shown Grace already. 

Parent Portal

Next week, you will receive important information about the Compass Parent Portal. The Parent Portal is an online portal that allows you to interact with the school and access up-to-date information. You will receive individual login details. You will be able to enter absence notes and communicate with your child's teacher. There are many other functions that we will introduce once restrictions are gone, such as the excursion permission part. Keep an eye out for this on Friday 15 October. 

School Counsellor

Our school counsellor Samantha Price has resigned from Catholic Care. We will be informed of her replacement in the coming weeks. Danielle Hudson will continue to support us one day a week, should your child require some assistance. 

Attendance

Please keep sending in any absence notes that you may have for your child's absences. 

Community Council

We are always looking for new members for our Community Council. The next meeting is on Tuesday 12 Ocotber, 7pm at the Temora Hotel. Come along and I promise you will not walk out with any jobs to do. It would be great to have you on board.
