Harmony Week was celebrated during K to 6 Library lessons in Week 8. Students viewed and discussed the features of traditional clothing from Germany, Croatia and the Philippines. They also looked at different money from a variety of countries. Students enthusiastically, some more than others, participated in learning a Croatian Folk Dance. Special thanks to Shiraz Broad who brought in a slideshow about the Philippines, traditional clothing and Kutsinta, which is a type of steamed rice cake, for her classmates to sample. Shiraz and Kim also taught their class some Filipino words.
