From the Principal

Dear St Anne's Community,

This is our last newsletter for the term and I would like to thank you all for a positive and productive Term 1. I am very pleased with the progress the school is making and the increase in enrolments that we are experiencing.

Welcome

A warm welcome to Ruby and Flynn Matthews. Ruby has joined Year 9 and Flynn will be joining Year 7 on Monday of Week 10.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

I look forward to next Tuesday and Wednesday and the opportunity to open the gates and welcome you into the school again. K-6 interviews will be held in their respective classrooms and Secondary interviews will be held in classrooms along the art room end of the upstairs corridor. Please look for sanitising stations and do not attend if you are unwell. Don't forget to visit the space outside the Food Tech room, to collect a free sausage sandwich or roll.

RAT Kits

Thursday next week, we will be sending home a single rat test with your child. We have some left over from the recent allocation and this will support you if your child is displaying symptoms.

Staff Professional Development

Some of our teachers have been busy attending professional development days or preparing for upcoming days. Please be assured that we always try to limit the impact that this will have on classes while teachers are away from the class.

Enrolments

As I said at the start, it is very pleasing to be welcoming so many new families and their children to St Anne's. Since the start of the year, we have had 12 new students join us. A good news story; our Secondary numbers are the highest we have had since 2015.

Don't forget to keep us updated if you have plans for your child to attend another school next year. This assists us in so many ways and confirms what we hear from students at school.

School Grounds

A friendly reminder that students are not to be on school grounds before 8:30am of a morning. Playground supervision begins at 8:30am, thank you.

The season of Lent will come to a close soon with the beginning of the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday; Thursday 14th April. I wish you and your family a happy and Holy Easter break and I look forward to students returning to school on Wednesday 27th April.

Take care,

Grant Haigh

Principal
