From the Principal

Dear St Anne's Community,

Welcome back!

Term 2 has started well and it was nice to see our students return in their Winter Uniform.

ANZAC Day

Thank you to all of our students and staff that attended the ANZAC Day Mass, March and Ceremony in the park. It was a well supported event and I appreciate the effort that went into preparing for this.

Winter Uniform

We continue to have some teething issues with our transition to Lowes and I thank you for your ongoing patience. Please let myself or Virginia Bent know directly if you have any problems and we will forward these directly to the Lowes Uniform manager, Anita. Anita has been very helpful and she will respond to us within an hour or two. In some cases, the problem has been an easy fix on the website.

New Students

A very warm welcome to our 7 new students and their families that started with us this term. Yr 1- Zahlie Oliver. The Smith family- Grace & Lachlan in Yr 8 and Sarah in Yr 5. The Wilesmith family- Indy in Yr 7 and Rommy in Yr 9. Yr 10- Kayde Carney. We look forward to getting to know you all.

Commonwealth Block Grant meeting

In Week 7 this term, I have a meeting with Catholic Schools NSW to discuss a possible Commonwealth Block Grant Application. These applications support the school in funding renovations. A priority for us is a new toilet block and a site masterplan to give strategic direction on future buildings. I will keep you updated on this one.

Passion Play

Thank you to our staff and students for a wonderful Passion Play on Holy Thursday last term. Each year, it is nice to see a different group of students take us on the journey through this important story.

Congratulations

On behalf of St Anne's Staff, I would like to congratulate Miss Herbert on her wedding. Miss Herbert, who is now Mrs Diggins, was married over the weekend. I wish them all the best. Congratulations is also extended to our students that were baptised over the holidays.

School Name Change and Strategic Planning

On the 6/4/23, I emailed St Anne's parents and carers with two important points that will assist with strategic planning. If you know that your child or children will be leaving St Anne's at the end of this year, can you please notify the school. This will help us immensely in planning for staffing and classroom numbers. The other point was about the proposal to change our school name from St Anne's Central School Temora to St Anne's Catholic College Temora. I welcome feedback on both these points please.

Take care,

Grant Haigh
