Book club orders from Edition #3 of the Scholastic Bookclub have been sent home today. 

Stage 2

Years 3 and 4 have been learning about how the Non-Fiction section of the Library is organised using the Dewey Decimal System. They have also been learning about the different features of Non-Fiction books such as contents pages, the index, the glossary, captions and subheadings.

Year 1 Art

Each Wednesday Year 1 come to the Library for their Art and Library lessons. Their artwork is based on the story they have read from the InitiaLit storybook lessons. This week Year 1 read "Bears Don't Read!" by Emma Chichester-Clark. This week the students enjoyed using packing peanuts instead of paintbrushes to apply paint to their bears to give it a textured look.
