Dear St Anne's Community,
I hope that the school term has started well for you. I would like to thank Mrs Geraldine Holland for her work as Acting Principal while I was on leave for the last two weeks. Additionally, thank you to Mrs Kellye-Anne Coleman for her efforts in holding two positions while I was away. Mrs Coleman was Acting Assistant Principal Primary, and she maintained her substantive position as Primary Coordinator.
Fr. Sijo
While I was on leave, the announcement was made that Fr. Sijo will be moving on from our Parish at the end of the year. We will have an opportunity to thank Fr. Sijo for his contribution to St Anne's and farewell him later this year. Fr. Alex will be joining the Parish in 2025. Fr. Alex spent some time with us last year and this year, while Fr. Sijo was on leave.
Resignation- Director of Catholic Education
Mr Ross Fox, Director of Catholic Education Canberra/Goulburn announced his resignation recently. Please see the announcement letter further on in this newsletter and a second letter announcing an interim Director, while the board conducts the recruitment process.
Garden Viewing
Congratulations to our Garden Viewing Committee for an amazing effort bringing this yearly event together. Thank you to everyone that donated their time or goods to ensure the event was a success. We are very lucky to have such generous community members. Thank you to the community members who offered their gardens up for viewing, it is greatly appreciated.
2025 Principal
Yesterday, I met with Mrs Louise Grant. Mrs Grant and I have started the formal handover process, and I look forward to this continuing as the term progresses. Mrs Grant will be in and out of the school many times this term.
Community Council Open Meeting
The next School Community Council meeting will be held in Week 7, Tuesday 26th November at 6pm. Mrs Grant will be present at the meeting so that I can introduce her to the community council and any community members that also attend. You are very welcome to join us at the meeting, where we will provide some light refreshments and nibbles.
HSC
Thank you for your ongoing support of our HSC students. Your flexibility with the pickup arrangements has been appreciated by all.
School Captains
I will be in a position early next week to announce the election process for our 2025 student leaders. I can tell you that the elected leaders will be announced at the Presentation Assembly on Wednesday of Week 10.
Long Service Leave
During my time up in QLD, my family and I moved into our new home and explored the community of Caloundra and surrounds. I was able to visit my new school and meet the leadership team, staff, and parents. I couldn’t meet any students as my visit was after school. My two daughters visited their new school and received a tour. My parents and in-laws enjoyed being able to visit us, with only a short drive down the coast. It was nice to return to Temora and see everyone's familiar faces on Tuesday of this week.
Take care and God Bless,
Grant Haigh
Principal

Boorowa Netball & Touch Football Carnival
This year, the annual Boorowa Touch and Netball Carnival was met with a chilly, windy day. Nevertheless, students from Years 2 to 6 didn’t let the weather deter them. Every student participated with enthusiasm and a smile, giving their all. We celebrated numerous victories and demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship throughout the day. All students should feel proud of their hard work and achievements as they represent our school with pride.
