Dear St Anne's Community,
We are now past the halfway mark of the school term, and I hope that you and your children are well.
Student Leadership
The 2025 student leadership process has started. I caught up with Year 5, Year 9 and Year 10 students recently to outline the process and talk about what we are looking for in a student leader. The results of the elections will be announced at the awards assembly in Week 10 at the town hall. Our 2025 student leadership structure includes:
2x Year 11 School Captains, 2x Year 11 Prefects, 2x Year 10 Prefects, 4x House Captains Secondary plus SRC
2x Year 6 School Captains, 4x House Captains Primary plus SRC
Community Council Open Meeting
The next School Community Council meeting will be held in Week 7, Tuesday 26th November at 6pm. This will be in the school hall. Mrs Louise Grant will be present at the meeting so that I can introduce her to the community council and any community members that also attend. You are very welcome to join us at the meeting, where we will provide some light refreshments and nibbles.
Create Exhibition
Thank you to our students and staff for their work in putting together the create exhibition last night. It was a great event and the student's work on display was amazing. Thank you to everyone that attended.
Take care,
Grant Haigh
Principal
SCHOOL CHOIR
A huge Thank you is extended to the parents who supported their child to participate in the recent Year 12 Graduation Mass after school as part of a school choir last week. The children were wonderfully well-behaved, sang beautifully and were so proud to support Year 12. We are in awe of their enthusiasm and dedication. We will be continuing to call on the choir and if your child is keen to be included we welcome them wholeheartedly.
First Eucharist this Sunday
We congratulate the 21 young people of our Parish who make their First Eucharist this weekend and pray that it will be a beautiful moment of encounter for them, receiving Jesus for the first time in the Sacrament.
Thankyou to Mrs Donna Fogarty and Mrs Nola Drum for their work in preparing the children for reception of the sacrament.
Sharing Mass envelopes
The youngest child in each family received a St Vincent de Paul envelope home last week. (Please check school bags if you have yet to see one). Each year we are proud of the tradition of the school where we offer our support to the local chapter of St Vincent de Paul with financial donations to aid the less fortunate in the Temora community at Christmas. These are presented to a representative from St Vincent de Paul at the school Sharing Mass. You are most welcome to join Years 3 - 9 for the Mass on Thursday 5th December at 10:15am. We ask for your continued support again this year by returning a family donation in the envelope provided, to the school office by Tuesday 3rd December. Thank you for your generous support.

In the classroom with Year 1
This week Year 1 enjoyed an emotional literacy lesson incorporating Mathematics using skittles and smarties. Students participated in different real life sharing sceneries, to further develop their knowledge of division. Students shared equal groups while learning about how sharing with others helps us to all get along together.
A huge highlight of the lesson for Year 1 was “eating the lollies” and a key takeaway for them was “it feels great to share with other friends and include everyone.”
