Dear St Anne's Community,
I hope this finds you well. This is the last newsletter for Term 3.
Canapes in the Canola
Thank you to Stacey Coleman and the organising committee for their efforts in organising the Canapes event. We greatly appreciate your fundraising efforts. Once the event is reconciled, we will be able to update you on the funds raised. 50% will go to the Temora District Education Fund and 50% to the school.
Year 12 Graduation Assembly
Please find an invitation in this newsletter to attend the Yr 12 Formal Assembly to be held next Thursday 26th September at 12pm at the Town Hall. This is a significant and special occasion for our school community as we celebrate and acknowledge the efforts and achievements of our first ever graduating class of Yr 12.
While we understand that many students may be tired from participating in Showcase, we kindly request that your child attends school on this day. It is an important school event, and we would love to have as many students present as possible to mark this milestone in our school journey.
Long Service leave
Next term, I will be taking 2 weeks Long Service Leave. For weeks 1 & 2, Mrs Geraldine Holland will be Acting Principal and Mrs Kellye-Anne Coleman will be Acting Assistant Principal Primary. I will return to school on Tuesday 29th October. During my leave, I will have the opportunity to visit my new school in Caloundra, QLD. I will take up the Principal position at Our Lady of the Rosary (OLR) Catholic Primary School on the 22 January next year. OLR is a school of 350 students from Prep-Year 6. OLR is part of the Brisbane Catholic Education system.
Showcase
I am looking forward to witnessing the amazing performances next week. I have a great deal of appreciation for Mrs Sally Eberle and all our staff for their work in preparing Showcase. It is a mammoth task, but so worthwhile when we see the performances come to life.
I wish you and your families a happy and safe term break and we will look forward to welcoming students back to school on Tuesday 15 October.
Take care,
Grant Haigh

Term 3 has been a busy and exciting term with The Resilience Project.
We saw our first ever whole school Wellbeing Day, with an Olympic theme and our guest speaker Paralympian, Scott Readon. The students had the day completing activities using our key GEM principles (Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy) finishing the day with some whole school games and some Just Dance.
It has been great to see the students using our learnings in TRP throughout the classroom and into the playground.
In the classroom with Year 5.
Earlier in the year Year 5 spent some time outside writing on the concrete what they are grateful for with chalk. These creations were nice and bright which was lovely to see in the playground.
Last Thursday 12th September a group of 8 year 4 students travelled to West Wyalong to participate in the Todd Woodbridge Cup. Many of the students hadn't played tennis before, but the event was all about having fun and trying tennis out. All students played outstandingly and they came away as champions.
All 8 students will now participate at the next level in Wagga at the beginning of Term 4.
What an amazing effort from all students and we cant wait to see what they can do at the Regional Championships.
